Dummy NIP generator: Indonesian civil servant test numbers

Need civil servant numbers that pass format checks while testing HR, payroll, or form software? Generate a batch for civil servants (PNS), contract civil servants (PPPK), or a mix, with the sex and birth years you choose. The pattern follows BKN rules, nothing is checked against any database, and a number may happen to match a real person's NIP. Test data only.

Test data. The numbers are not checked with BKN, and because they follow the same pattern as real NIPs, one may happen to match a real person's number. Do not use them to register, fill in official documents, or pose as a civil servant.

How the numbers are made

  • The first eight digits are a real calendar date within the birth years you choose.
  • A civil servant NIP uses the year and month of appointment as a candidate civil servant at age 18 to 35, the application age limit. A PPPK number uses an appointment year from 2021, when PPPK numbers started being issued, at age 20 to 57, followed by 21 for the first work agreement, so PPPK numbers are only made for birth years from 1964.
  • Appointments never fall after today, the sex digit is 1 or 2, and the serial is random between 001 and 030.
  • Every number is re-read with the same rules as the NIP decoder, so all of them read without warnings. Everything is generated in your browser and nothing is stored.

Need resident ID numbers too? The dummy NIK generator makes NIKs with a valid pattern for the region and birth years you choose.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a generated NIP for a real registration?

No. These numbers are for testing your own software and forms. Using them on a real service means submitting false data, and a number that matches a real person's NIP could harm that person.

Are the numbers guaranteed not to belong to anyone?

No. The serial has only three digits for each combination of birth date, appointment month, and sex, so a random number can match a real NIP. Use them only in test environments.
